Miami's entertainment scene is famed the world over for good reason. The city boasts an impressive assortment of entertainment and cultural offerings including everything from theater, dance and classical music to less formal nightlife revolving around the city's numerous hip clubs, bars and cafés. There's a decent number of well-distributed magazines and newspapers that publish up-to-date listings of upcoming events so that you don't miss out.

There are entertainment venues throughout this cosmopolitan city, with a concentration in the South Beach area and downtown Miami. For performing arts, there are a number of great theaters in town, some of which are housed in architectural gems. Check out the Art Deco Actors' Playhouse or the magnificent Colony Theater, while the ornate Coconut Grove Playhouse sadly closed in 2006 and once played home to David Letterman's 'Late Show'.

Miami's club scene is big news, with a staggering array of nightclubs showcasing the best in new dance music where you can dance the night away in style. There're also some excellent Latin clubs, not to mention a great bar scene and a lively gay and lesbian circuit.
